Event management has been moved in-house at Rocket Mortgage and new, lower prices at up to 50 percent off will be offered for all grounds tickets, the first of a number of fan-friendly initiatives set to be unveiled this year, aimed at making the Rocket Classic the most community-focused and accessible tournament on the PGA Tour.

Tickets for the first round on Thursday, July 30 are $31.30, a nod to Detroit’s 313 area code. Friday's second round tickets begin at $48, while tickets for Saturday's third round and Sunday's championship round begin at $58 each day. Advance pricing will be available through June 16. Special rates for groups of 10 or more, plus student rates and military discounts, will be available.     A home-grown golf pro, Joe Hicks from Detroit, was recently granted the first sponsor’s exemption for the 2026 tournament. He made his PGA Tour debut last year at the Rocket Classic.

Hooks, 32, grew up in Southfield and Commerce Township, and is a 2011 graduate of the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy, just two miles from Detroit Golf Club. He was an all-state selection as a junior and senior, and estimated he has played more than a thousand rounds at DGC throughout his life. He started playing the course at seven years old almost daily each summer.
