Golf Hall of Fame: Allison Fouch and Gary Robinson Elected

    BIG RAPIDS – Allison (Fouch) Duncan of Grand Rapids, a former LPGA player and tour leader, and Gary Robinson of Jackson, a Michigan PGA professional highly regarded as a player and instructor, have been elected to the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame (MGHOF) for 2026.

    They will be officially inducted in late October at Ferris State University’s Katke Golf Club, home of the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame, and will bring the number of inductees to 145.

    Duncan, 45, was a standout golfer at East Grand Rapids High, then Michigan State University and played professionally for nine years, including six years on the LPGA Tour where her top finish was a tie for second place.

    At MSU she was a three-time tournament winner, three-time All-Big Ten selection, honorable mention All-American in 2004 and two-time All-American scholar. In 2002, she was part of a Big Ten title team and was a member of the victorious Team USA at the Women’s World University Golf Championship where she also placed second individually.

    The 2009 Michigan Women’s Open winner also served three years on the LPGA Board of Directors, elected by her tour-playing peers.

    Robinson, 76 and a Plymouth native, was an NAIA All-American at Eastern Michigan University, won the 1986 Michigan PGA Professional Championship, played in two U.S. Opens, five Buick Opens on the PGA Tour and six PGA Professional National Championships.

    He worked as an assistant at Tam O’Shanter Country Club in West Bloomfield, Green Ridge Country Club in Grand Rapids and then for 12 years was the head golf professional at Arbor Hills Country Club in Jackson.

    In recent years he has worked as an instructor and personal coach at Foundation Golf Center in Coldwater. He was the Michigan PGA Teacher of the Year in 2002. His most notable longtime student is 16-year PGA Tour player Brian Stuard, who started working with Robinson as a youngster.
