There are moments in the life of a television show that feel routine…and then there are moments like this one.
For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of welcoming you to Michigan Golf Live TV on regional sports networks that evolved over time, most recently as FanDuel Sports Network. Together, we’ve traveled the state, told great stories, celebrated this game we love, and built something that feels far more like a community than a TV show.
When we learned that FanDuel was soon going dark, we began working behind the scenes on what is now the most exciting news in the 27 year history of Michigan Golf Live.
Every weekend, everywhere in the state, you can now watch MGL TV for free on a channel you already get.
No subscriptions.
No streaming packages.
No hoops to jump through.
We’re now bringing the TV show into over 8 million households every weekend. When we mapped it all out for the first time, I had one of those “wow” moments—realizing that we’re more than doubling our reach and welcoming an entirely new audience to the MGL family.
The new outlets for viewing Michigan Golf Live TV are:
CBS 62 in metro Detroit
ABC 12 in the Flint/Thumb area
ABC 53 in mid-Michigan
ABC 4 in west Michigan
NBC 7&4 in northern Michigan
Fox UP across the Upper Peninsula
One of the questions I’ve heard for years is, “How can I watch if I’m outside Michigan?”
Now, that answer is simple. Every episode we produce will also be available on our YouTube channel, so whether you’re traveling, living out of state, or just prefer to watch on your own schedule, MGL TV is always within reach.
A Door Opens to Something Even Bigger
As if all of that wasn’t exciting enough, we’re also stepping into a brand-new partnership with Marquee Sports Network — the television home of the Chicago Cubs.
That partnership means the MGL voice will now be heard across five states, multiple times each week, introducing what we do to millions of new listeners. It’s an incredible opportunity to share Michigan’s golf story with an even wider audience.
