Folds of Honor Michigan Chapter event for all golfers of all ages, The $1 Million Mission! aims to raise funds to provide educational scholarships to the children and spouses of America's fallen and wounded service members.

The $1 Million Mission! event will be held over Labor Day weekend (September 3-5) at the Pilgrim’s Run Golf Club in Pierson, MI and on Saturday and Sunday, September 17 and 18, at the Pigeon Creek Golf Course in West Olive, MI.

Golfers of all ages are invited to participate by donating $10 for a bucket of 20 balls or $20 for a bucket of 50 balls. During the first round of The $1 Million Mission! event, golfers will hit balls to a target hole and win a prize for balls finishing within 3 feet or 7 feet of the hole. The first three golfers each day who make a hole-in-one will receive a cash prize. Anyone landing a shot that finishes within 3 feet of the hole will be invited back to the second round and given one shot at a target.

A hole-in-one in the second round will win a cash prize of $25,000 toward the purchase of a new car. The one person who is closest to the hole in the second round will then get one shot at a third target, with a hole-in-one winning a $1,000,000 annuity.

John Somers, president of the Folds of Honor Michigan Chapter, says “The $1 Million Mission! is a fun and exciting way for any golfer to support the mission of Folds of Honor while giving themselves a chance to become a millionaire. Our goal is to make this an annual event, and with the support of our volunteers and the Grand Rapids community, we are excited about our inaugural launch.”
